My thinking
You're absolutely right. After I got back home, I thought it over again, considering what I really want to do in the future, whether it's about my career or the skills I need to train. Thank you very much. Now I already know what I should do.
First of all, let me talk about myself. I have been practicing the drawing style of Japanese anime and also trained in Live2d animation skills. All of this is for my future job. I have looked at the resumes of every Chinese 2D game company. I just want to apply for the position of technical artist or Live2d animator in these companies. The similarities between these two jobs are that they both require the creation of Live2d animations and a basic understanding of Unity (the ability to import animations into Unity). So, in summary, what I plan to do in my degree project is: I intend to use Unity to create a game similar to an interactive comic. I can draw storyboards, comic panels, etc. to tell the story, and then trigger events (such as movement, attack, etc.) through simple Unity operations. This way, it solves the problem you mentioned earlier: for animations, there is no story, and for games, it is too simple. I will use this method to complete my story, and I have already come up with a rough idea for the story. I feel that I can do it. This is all related to my abilities (I need to do Live2d, and at the same time, I also need to review Unity), and it is also challenging (I need to use Live2d animations for most of the comic panels and tell a complete story). This is the result of my repeated thinking. I also have my own persistence. This idea can exactly exercise my job-hunting skills in the future. I can't give it up.
Here are some examples of the live2d-related jobs I'm interested in applying for:
